Yubi Health Announces Equity Crowdfunding Campaign on Start Engine

Accessible Mental Health Solutions for the Workplace

August 27, 2021 – Phoenix, AZ –

YubiHealth, a mental health wellness platform, announced the launch of its Equity Crowdfunding Campaign on Start Engine at https://www.startengine.com/yubihealth. This milestone is a major move for YubiHealth on its mission to empower people to live meaningful lives in the workplace and to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

This news comes in the wake of many recent initiatives and accomplishments of the company, including:

  • Creation of patent-pending AI that changes personalized solutions based on interactions
  • Launch of the Beta Empwr App in January 2021 in partnership with Vail Place, a nonprofit providing community recovery services to adults with severe mental illnesses
  • Launch of the Empwr App 2.0 in Aug 2021 (Read full press release here: Digital Journal)
  • An active and growing pipeline of 100+ prospects in various industries
  • A strong partner ecosystem

“Having walked alongside family and friends in crisis, I have seen just how broken the healthcare system is,” says Rahul Goyal, Co-Founder and CEO of YubiHealth. “Our team is working hard to make quality care, prevention, and treatment accessible and easy to navigate for the user and the physician.”

Mental illness costs the U.S. $193.2 billion in lost earnings every year (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18463104/ ), and 40% of U.S. adults are currently struggling with mental health or substance abuse (Chief Learning Officer). Access to mental health care is a big problem. YubiHealth’s approach helps prevent illness and strengthens mental wellness without the limitations of traditional care.

“We saw something that was broken and needed to be fixed,” says Vivek Goel, Co-Founder and COO of Yubi Health. “Rather than treat the symptom, the answer lies in addressing the root cause.”

The Empwr app blends user feedback with AI technology to determine placement on the mental health journey and provide real-life action suggestions.

Getting this state-of-the-art mind and body wellness platform into the hands of the people who needed it most required a more accessible model than traditional mental health solutions.

“We ran an analysis on the entire mental health space,” says Goel, “and how it works from a large-scale perspective. We found that approaching employers was the simplest solution in breaking down barriers to access and stigma. In addition, offering the Empwr App as a piece of the benefit plan is provided at no-cost to employees and increases workplace productivity for the employer. A win-win.” Employers seeking an alternative to addressing the high cost of mental health issues in the workplace can contract directly with YubiHealth to expand their benefits offerings.

YubI Health Partners with Vail Place to launch EMPWR 2.0 Application

June 28, 2021 – Minneapolis, MN –

YubiHealth has announced the launch of EMPWR 2.0, the second release of an innovative new app designed to assess total wellness and improve mental health, to members of Vail Place, a community-based organization that provides recovery services for adults with severe mental illnesses. The Vail Place community were involved in a unique program to test the app’s efficacy with real customers. Improvements in the new release were designed based on feedback from Vail Place members, who participated in a previous test and validation phase.

“As far as we know, this is one of the first efforts to involve actual people with mental illnesses in the design of a mental health app,” said Rahul Goyal, CEO and Founder of YubiHealth. “We wanted to see what Vail Place members thought of the tool, but more importantly how they would improve it. Their feedback was invaluable, resulting in a much more relevant and impactful version of the app.”

EMPWR 2.0 offers a host of features, including:

  • An assessment of the user’s total wellness at any point in time.
  •  Prediction of possible future mental health concerns based on that assessment.
  •  Personalized recommendations to improve mental health.

The purpose of the EMPWR 2.0 app is to provide a high degree of engagement for the user, as well as the ability to track and reward activities that promote better mental health. EMPWR 2.0 is designed to impact and improve an individual’s mood and stress level, while providing specific ways to build confidence and self-esteem, become more active and promote physical health, and develop new skills as part of a long-term, proven mental health practice. In addition, the app encourages peer support through the EMPWR community.

“It’s remarkable to be involved at the forefront of the movement to improve mental health through better technology,” said Vicky Couillard, Executive Director for Vail Place. “I commend the EMPWR developers for coming straight to the source to help design a tool that can truly help individuals in a way that is specific and meaningful to them.
